In establishing the NTC Wako Campus, the government was looking to create a top-quality learning environment appropriate to the nation's premiere training institution for tax administration. Training programs continue for prolonged periods, presenting challenges both in terms of the arduous subject matter and the sometimes stressful student lifestyle. With that in mind, the NTC Wako project was designed to make optimal use of the surrounding natural environment to create both physical and psychological space for students in a campus facility that marries comfort and efficiency.
